Summertime Heater Maintenance

During the summer, be sure to crank up the heat. Once a month, try to turn on your heater for 1-2 minutes to let fluid circulate. This will help keep your heater core clean and can help reduce corrosion that leads to a stuck thermostat.

Shedding Light on Halogen

Most new-model vehicles have halogen headlights because they produce more light than a regular bulb. Be careful: like all halogen lights, touching the glass bulb means that bulb is contaminated with oil that can heat up and cause burnouts more quickly.

What Size Tires?

When it comes to your tires, size does matter. So be sure to buy the tire size recommended in your vehicle's owner's manual.

Since your speedometer is hooked up to the transmission and the speedometer is calibrated for the revolution of the recommended tire size, a taller or shorter tire will affect the accuracy of your speedometer.
